We hope that you find the information you are looking for contained in the various articles and links on our web site. If you are not able to find the information you are seeking, please call us at 773-0782 and we will assist you.

Basketball game rescheduled

The eighth-grade boys' basketball tourney scheduled for last Saturday at Clay has been postponed to 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, February 9.

About school closings and delays...

When the weather is questionable and we are assessing the conditions to make decisions about a school cancellation or delay, the superintendent and her staff begin at 4:00 a.m. checking forecasts and driving the roads. She consults with the transportation and maintenance directors, the assistant superintendent, and the other Hamilton County superintendents. After considering all of the information, she makes a decision that all believe is not jeopardizing the safety of our students.

If hazardous weather takes place during the day when students are already at school, the administrative staff constantly monitor the forecast and conditions, consult with other area superintendents, and then decide whether it's safer to send students home early or whether conditions will be improved by the regular dismissal time.

At all times the safety of our students is the primary focus.

NMS Science Fair

The science fair date is quickly approaching please see the science fair confirmation form to learn about the schedule for the fair. The bottom portion of this form is due to your child's science teacher no later than Tuesday, February 16.

There is also a list of Prohibited Project Items. This is the same list used at the regional science fair. Please use this list and plan your display accordingly.

If you would like to purchase a display board from the school, they will be on sale before and after school in Mr. Cooley's classroom (Room 204). The cost is $4.00. Students may select from red, green, or black display boards while supplies last.
